My kits are now free!

I let my store lapse, and all that went with it.  Life got hard, and designing came to a halt.  But, I still have kits that have either been retired, or haven't sold.  Now, they are going to be available to you for free!  This is prompted by a reply on my pintrist board, asking where she could get the kit.  So here you go!  And, thank you Julie L. for asking where to find the kit!

My thumb is not a potato wedge

Breaking every dietary rule available, we often eat on the couch, watching a video. Yep, we are bad. A couple of nights ago we were particularly bad, and had KFC in front of the tv, on the couch. It was a bit chilly, so I was wearing a cardigan, and the sleeves cover most of my hands. I am happily watching our show of the day, and munching on dinner, when I feel Bill picking at my thumb. Not just once or twice, but persistently. I finally turned to look at him, because I don't know what the heck he is up to, and because he is usually fairly focused on his dinner. The look on his face was priceless! He was bewildered, shocked, amused, and embarrassed all at once. He turned completely red and blurts out "It's not a potato wedge!" Of course I am somewhat confused since I don't serve food on our leather sofa. This ended in a long spell of laughter, with Bill barely able to breathe. It was so worth it!

What is happening recently? My friend Lora is having surgery today, on her foot. Please pray for speedy recovery for her. My sis had an appointment last week, and feels better about her diagnosis, and will fully recover in time. Little Maddie is running even, but prayers are still much appreciated for her. Our HCSA seems very late in arriving. I thought they paid every two weeks, and it has been more than 5, so I am figuring I'll have to follow this up. YUK. And, we are anxiously waiting for our tax returns. Federal is keeping all their money, but the state will be giving us some back. I hope it comes this week, because our wedding anniversary is on Friday, and we desire very much to get away for the weekend.

A few days ago, being overwhelmed by all my friends and family who have illness, and loss of family members, I asked Bill if this was kind of freaky that it was all happening right now, or if it was my age? "It's your age" he replied immediately, "Haven't you been reading the obituaries?" Enough said, but I was laughing at his response. How can one person make me laugh this much?

Well now! First post of a new blog, can it be interesting? I don't know. But, I can tell you what is on my mind these days.

First, I moved my blog because I don't use it enough to justify paying almost $60 a year to maintain it. Blogger is pretty cool, since they don't charge for basic blogs, and I can customize it any way I like! Zoe Pearn designed the elements I am using right now. I was craving some springtime, and this is my spring time fix. Zoe is a pretty cool gal. I met her at The Digi Chick, a few years back. Oh, what fun we had there! Chloe has a blog, and she uses these kits by Zoe, and since I like her blog, I thought I would give it a try before I try to design all my own elements. I have to say, I learned a lot from this. Thanks Zoe!

Next. I haven't formally announced it yet, but I am no longer purchasing gold. I am sorry if you have some for me to buy, but it was time to close that business down. I worried and stewed about it for quite a while. Then, last week was really stressful for me, and I finally told God that unless He made some things happen, that were obvious to me, that I would resign my position this week. The signs were obvious, but against staying in business. I find that I am much happier meeting the needs of my family and friends than I am in earning some extra income. It's nice to be needed.

I'll update you about the family, and some of my friends as well. My prayer list suddenly exploded and I think I'll use this forum to talk about some of them, and how they progress.

Along with everything else, I think I want to use this blog to highlight some fun digital scrap booking items, pages I do, and hopefully some of the things I have been designing. If all goes well, a freebie now and then, too! Wouldn't that be fun?

Most people know that I am a sincere coupon user. I will, from time to time, offer suggestions and announce crazy good buys as I find them. There are tons of blogs dedicated to saving money with coupons, so I won't be going over board there.

All this to say, I have a lot of things on my mind that I want to share. I love FaceBook, but it just doesn't offer me enough room to say all that I want to talk about. So, until next time, try to catch me at FB! My user name there is noralong (shocking, huh?). Look me up, and let's be friends!
